If you’ve ever had Colombian food, you’ll understand why I’m so excited about La Fogata. If you haven’t had Colombian food, now is your chance! Located in a easily accessible location, this spot is full of flavor.
The two sauces that they set on the table are good enough to eat on their own. My first time visiting, we used the green (spicy) sauce so much, that it was almost gone and we had to get a large container of it to take home. This sauce is my absolute favorite, however the mild red sauce is good for those who prefer something a bit more subtle.
Now something not so subtle… the fish dishes. They’re an eye catcher no doubt, however, they’re light and crispy while also being juicy on the inside. Thankfully he dishes come with sides too. The rice is a good filling dish while flavorful, and the black beans have a nice Columbian flavor to them spicy while not being overbearing.
Walking into the restaurant I was unsure what to expect when it came to the vegetarian dishes, I noticed they had a side of vegetables so I went for it. This was such a great choice. Garlicky, salty, delicious vegetables. I added the green sauce to it and it was the most flavorful, solely veggie dish, that I’d had in a while.
Overall, I can’t wait to come back and try something new.
